TeamBoss Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how TeamBoss, a software product created by ThursdayKeegs, LLC ("TeamBoss," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the TeamBoss platform, including our websites, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is a sim racing team management platform used to coordinate rosters, races, stints, and related team operations.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account and Identity Information
When you sign in using a third-party authentication provider, we receive certain information from that provider:
• Discord OAuth: Discord username, Discord user ID, avatar, and email address associated with your Discord account.
• Google OAuth: name, email address, and profile image associated with your Google account.
2.2 Driver Profile Information
To participate as a driver on a Team Site, you provide profile information, which may include:
• Display name and country
• iRacing customer ID and license/iRating data across categories (Sports Car, Formula, Oval, Dirt Road, Dirt Oval)
• Timezone and GMT offset
• Discord username, Twitch handle, and YouTube channel
• Optional contact email
2.3 Team and Operational Data
As you use the Service, we store data related to your team activities, including team rosters, race plans, stint schedules, paint and setup links, team branding (logos, theme, links), invitations, polls, and admin checklists.
2.4 Payment Information
If you subscribe to a paid tier, payment is processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card details. We retain subscription status, plan tier, billing email, and transaction identifiers needed for account management and tax/accounting purposes. Voluntary team donations made via PayPal are sent directly to the team and are processed entirely by PayPal.
2.5 Automatic and Technical Data
When you access the Service, we automatically collect limited technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, timestamps, and error logs, used for security, diagnostics, and improving the Service.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Authenticate users and manage team membership and permissions
• Coordinate team activities such as race assignments, stint scheduling, and live race-day operations
• Process subscriptions and manage billing
• Communicate with you about your account, invitations, updates, and support requests
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable law (such as the EU/UK GDPR) requires a legal basis for processing personal data, we rely on the following bases:
• Contract: to provide the Service you have requested.
• Consent: where you have given consent (e.g., optional integrations or communications).
• Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
• Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws.
5. How We Share Information
5.1 Within Your Team Site
Your driver profile, availability, schedule assignments, and related team data are visible to other members of the same Team Site according to their roles and permissions. Team Owners and Admins have broader visibility and management capabilities than Drivers.
5.2 Third-Party Service Providers
We share information with vetted service providers who process data on our behalf, including:
• Supabase: hosting, authentication, and database services.
• Discord and Google: authentication providers.
• Payment processor: subscription billing.
• Twitch and YouTube: to detect public live-stream status for opted-in driver channels.
• iRacing: we link to public iRacing member profiles; we do not transmit your private data to iRacing.
• PayPal: for optional team donation links you choose to follow.
We will never sell any information to a third party. Ever.
5.3 Legal and Safety
We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.
5.4 No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Third-Party Integrations
The Service integrates with third-party platforms. Information shared with each is limited to what is necessary for the integration:
• Discord/Google: OAuth identity tokens and basic profile fields.
• Twitch/YouTube: public channel handles you provide; we query public live status.
• iRacing: we display links based on the iRacing customer ID you supply.
• PayPal: outbound donation links only; we do not transmit user data.
Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
7. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your active workspace and preferences, and maintain session security. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account or associated team membership is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove or anonymize your personal data, except where retention is required for legal, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution purposes. Team data may be retained by the Team Owner after you leave a Team Site.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Receive a portable copy of your data
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact info@teamboss.net so we can take appropriate action.

TeamBoss is operated from the United States, and the data we collect is processed and stored in the United States and in regions used by our service providers. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your own, including jurisdictions that may not have the same data protection laws as your home country.
12. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, OAuth-based authentication, and database row-level security. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email to the address associated with your account. The "Effective Date" at the top reflects the latest revision. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
14. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Georgia, USA.
